Gulmarg = freeraiders  paradise! Snow is like a sugar and ways to ride are plenty, both in the woods and also in the alpine zone. Snowdrifts are as high as hotel roofs and monkeys are also not rear.

Unbelievable! You might not understand it before you experience it yourself. And what a surprise- so nice ski resort in India and very warm welcome from locals. What could be better!
To be sure that everything is as we say is true, we arranged introduction camps in winter of  2009 and 2010. People said that there is no need to question us, need came to go there! Everything is exactly like we said, like a dream, unbelievable!

Gulmarg freeraidcamp 2012 is between 06.02 - 27.02.12

There are basicly two shifts in that camp this time, long and short:

longer time 06.02-27.02.12 (17 days in the mountains)

suggested shorter time 06.02- 20.02 (21.02.12) (11-12 days)

Arriving date can also be various, but then you have a different acclimatisation period.

Every snowboarder and skier is welcome who:

• like to do freeride and who is skillful enough to cope with himself,
• is not afraid of unexpected situations and adventures.

To ride with us you have to have a full freeriders lifesaving equipment:

• beeper
• shovel
• avalanche probe

In addition to ride safely

• helmet
• back protection

About Gulmarg

Good information about Gulmarg can be found from Gulmarg ski center Ski Himalaya. They helped to arrange those intoduction camps in 2009 and 2010, to insure that everything is safe and sure.

Where is this mysterios Gulmarg? It is on North of India, in Jammu & Kashmir state. Check it out from the map HERE.

Distance from Sringar to Gulmarg is around 60km and on the road You will pass many nice little villages. At the end You will reach to height over 2600m, where is the Gulmarg ski resort.

The area of the resort is over 3 square kilometers. To the top (3980m) will take gondola lift and from there, You can go on foot up to 4124 meters. Distance between lower and upper lift is 1330 meters.

Hotel rooms are varios. Some are central heated, some you can heat with woods yourself. Warm water is also inside. Beds are usually wide double-beds. 

Indian food is typically hot and extrahot, but really delicious. Breakfast at the hotel is continental: egg (you can choose, how you like it), some porridge, toast and jam. Also everything from the menue availible with an extra cost. + coffee/tea. The waitresses love you when you give them a nice tip- they will be very helpful and kind.

If you need to contact your friends or rest of the world, you can buy a local calling card for a mobile or use wifi internet connection.

Milliste summadega peaksid laagrisse tulekul arvestama?

Kuskil 1150.00 – 1450.00€ kulub ära, sõltuvalt laagris oleku ajast:

• vajalikud autosõidud Srinagar Gulmarg Srinagar ja tagasi lennujaama,
• hotelliööd Gulmargis, koos hommikusöögi ja õhtusöögiga,
• Delhi Srinagar Delhi siselend
• 1 ööbimine paatmajas Dal järvel Srinagaris, koos hommiku- ja õhtusöögiga,
• 1 öö tagasisõidul Delhis ja transport lennujaamast hotelli ja lennujaama, kui lendad Finnairiga,
• India viisa,
• täielik ekstreemkindlustus, et sõita oleks julgem ja kindlam,
• laagri ettevalmistav korraldus ja juhtimine Gulmargis,
• laviinivarustuse kasutamise koolitus ja turvalise freeraidsõidu koolitus,
• päevased laskumised juhendaja juhendamisel.

Kohapeal jääb tasuda:

• Vastavalt laagri ajale mäepiletid 200 – 400€,
• kohalikud giidid, transport, mis on vajalik laskumise lõpust tagasi suusakeskusesse,
• Heliskii,
• Lõunasöögid ja karastusjoogid :)

Reisitõrkekindlustus, koos pagasikindlustusega vastavalt sinu lennu ja laagri maksumusele ning pagasi väärtusele.

Lend Tallinn – Delhi – Tallinn, mis sõltub Sinu valikutest.

Kui soovid olla laagris pika aja siis toimi nii:

• 06.02.12 Tallinn-Helsingi-Delhi (Tallinnast väljumisega kell 18:00 või varem, Helsingist väljub lennuk Delhi kell 20:10) Lennuk saabub Delhi 07.02.12 hommikul kell 06:40.
• 27.02.12 Delhist tagasi kell 10:45 ja Helsingi-Tallinn kell 16:55

Kui lennupiletid käes, siis saada mulle palun oma registreerimissoov ja lennupiletite väljatrükk. Samuti oleks väga hea kui kirjeldaksid oma sõidukogemust ja nimetaksid varasemad freeraidsõidu kohad.
